Great supplement to self learning (must have digital piano) and works with Mac

Piano and Keyboard Method
I am a newbie and I learned to play the piano in the last three months alone, using all alfred in the book, of course, adults and teachers are not so far away. So far so good, and I decided that I need to check my pace and the number was correct, I decided to add this program for my learning tools. And I must say, is the perfect program to see how to proceed in your. I believe that the exercises have helped to reinforce the rhythm, note reading and music theory on the left side. In fact, I encourage you to read the manual, and then come to this program, you will have much more simply use the program itself: it goes a bit faster.

The program offers music theory, sight reading, ear training tests, many small pictures to see what I have learned so far, explain the position of the video, audio explanations, finger tracker, what is the best part of the program, says at the end, percentage of reading accuracy. And if you're frustrated at not more than 95%, for a perfectionist, you can press the button, play how you play! Remember that if you hit a bad note, which also counts on you and not to hit or pass the appropriate amount of time! You can go to the previous lesson, again and again, which reinforces the point. There are so many little helpers of each lesson, such as video and audio connections.

There are over 300 lessons, so I am looking forward to plowing through them along with the Alfred's course, which compliments this program beautifully. You will need to have a MIDI cable to connect the computer/laptop to your digital piano, which Amazon also sells at a very good price. So worth the money in lieu of a teacher. I will update every couple of months to comment on this program.

Best, I've seen for the adult beginner on piano.

 Piano and Keyboard Method
I am a musician, but not played the piano, and I had four lessons on the piano with 3 different people. This has proved very difficult for teachers of piano, he learned that young children and especially to teach children to understand the needs of adult musician who learns to play the piano as an additional tool. They have no way of books, I do not know how to evaluate what we do not know, I do not know how to do a good job. I learned very little in these lessons.

This method is just fantastic for me because I can skip over all the things I already know, and I can take the same lesson over and over and over again if I'm having trouble with it, never trying the patience of the computer (unlike the humans!) I've been using it maybe two weeks? and I'm amazed at all the things I've learned, and all the songs I can play. The teacher's videos add just the right touch, the singing on the songs is lovely. There's an accompaniment track for the songs so you can get up to tempo and have fun playing with them. Guitar chords are provided (!) which means I can add the chords I know on selected simple songs to make the lesson more challenging. It's a heavily song-based curriculum, lots of Baroque music, but I'm also working on Piano Man by Billy Joel.

My feeling is once I finish this disk, I will be ready for piano lessons with a human. And I will be playing piano pretty darn well by then, too. I just can't recommend this highly enough.

Great way to begin practice

This program is an ideal place to start learning, I have studied piano before, you still need a teacher and a program and practice, but today is not the time, the instrument is a simple practice, you can benefit from nearly 300 proposals , 70 of the first very simple (to the free songs). Each time a lesson or song begins, you can hear the professor, that contains information about the song, I particularly appreciate, this is not practical, but also periods of music, authors, styles and software that provides information to students, to enrich the musical experience.

You can also see hear the professor playing the piano and sing songs and songs that have words on them, you can practice singing as well. I am eager to continue practicing and once dominated by works beginners, I definetely go to the first available software eMedia Piano.
