  Wonderful keyboard
We just bought one of these because my daughter needed
a keyboard or piano that would respond to touch like a
piano for her piano lessons. Although I am a beginner
piano player myself, I think the keys behave like real
piano keys (in terms of response to force of touch)
and the sound is just incredible--I would not know
the difference between this and a real piano if I
couldn't see them. There is an amazing number of things
you can do with it, although we haven't really worked
through them yet--practice songs (although the repertoire
is not huge; maybe 20 or so songs) and play to a very large
variety of background rhythms and accompaniments, as well
as export what you've played to a computer. I'm not sure
we'll use all these features, because we really just
got it for the weighted key action and it does beautifully
at that, but they're nice to have for the future if we
do continue to play. My daughter adds, "it will keep me
busy for a long time."

It's a decent-looking machine
but is not a beautiful piece of furniture like a piano;
the "wood" portions are clearly synthetic, but seem
sturdy.

We bought it locally for about the same price listed
here and paid about $75 for delivery, but it came with
headphones and bench so I thought it was a good deal.

Great piano for a fine price!
This review is based on a week of ownership. I'm a novice when it comes to piano playing but I've been listening to piano all my life and I can tell you that this instrument has really accurate piano voices. The keys feel exactly like a piano with weighted keys. The lower keys feel heavier than the higher keys, and the things you can do with this are amazing, import music, record and export your own creations, over 530 voices... Comes with a sustain pedal.

The sound coming out of the speakers is very very good. But plug in a pair of headphones and you'll hear an even nicer, fuller sound.

Design is great and the piano sits sturdy on its supplied wooden stand.

Highly recommended!

  Great value
I went to a piano store to evaluate the pianos in person. The salesman, while very kind and knowledgeable, seemed to think that it was impossible to buy a worthwhile digital piano for less than $2,000. He also seemed to insist that a digital piano ought to look like an analog piano as much as possible. While I don't disagree with his sentiments, my budget was considerably less than his, and my decorative pretensions likewise.

This piano looks fine in our family room. It may not sound like the more expensive digitals, but as my son (age 12) excitedly pointed out, "We now have a pianoforté!" Yes, the weighted action allows this piano to play softly and loudly. The addition of the three pedal unit, while I am unable to properly use it at this time, was a good way to round out the capabilities of the piano.

Ironically, after hearing the piano salesman dismiss pianos that play "other sounds" my daughter (17) was concerned that the new piano wouldn't be able to play the sounds available in our old, non-weighted Casio keyboard. The capabilities of this piano calmed her fears.

The front-facing USB port for reading media is convenient, and the rear-facing USB for connection to a computer works fine. On my Macintosh I needed to download the driver from Yamaha in order for it to function properly, but this is free. The keyboard works fine with GarageBand and other Macintosh utilities.

All in all, I am very pleased with the piano, and I hope it will perform well over time.

  Great buy for the money...
It sounds and feels great for a digital piano. It does only come with about 10 voices, but if you're learning to play or just want to play most standard songs you don't need all of the others. It doesn't have all the 'bells and whistles', it is pretty basic. But it does have the ability to do quite a bit... you just have to read the instructions to learn how to access them using the actual piano keys as opposed to having a button for specific functions (like changing the key signature on the metronome, changing reverb settings, or adding duel voices). One down side is that it only has midi connections (no usb ports), but it's not a real big deal. usb would be nice, but you can transfer all the data you need to and from your computer or other midi device pretty quickly with the midi connections... you just have to buy a midi-usb adapter to connect to the computer. Two quarter inch audio jacks for headphones or PA. Full 88 Weighted keys. For someone looking for a portable, digital piano that sounds good for the money... I think Yamaha did it right on this one.

  Great Digital Paino
I purchased the p95 about 2 months ago and I'm really enjoying it. Yes, you do give up some of the bells and whistles of larger keyboards, but I like the sound, keys, and features it does have. Most important for me was the sound and feel of the keys. The sound is great. The speakers get loud enough for my taste, although I often play with headphones on. The keys have a good feeling. The features are basic but you get what counts. Most of the controls of intuitive, but I did have to reference the manual at times. I also like that it is pretty easy to move. When I'm not playing it goes in my closet. Moving the keyboard isn't a hassle even though I play pretty much everyday.

  Good overall, could be better.
Pros: Clean Design, weighted keys, good touch, easy to navigate.
Cons: on button is hard to press and seems flimsy, sound on maximum still relatively quiet.
Pedal included looks like a joke [a black plastic thing], but works just as well.

  Great Pedal
The sustain pedal that comes standard with the Yamaha electric pianos are definately lacking. There're small, light and don't feel quite right. The FC-4 has a good all around feel, more like a true piano pedal. It's also heavier and won't move around the floor while playing. Well worth the money.

  Electric Piano Keyboard Pedal
I bought this pedal for a used Yamaha PSR-500 keyboard that I got at an auction. The pedal works fine with the keyboard, providing the ability to sustain the notes just like a regular piano pedal. I've had no problems with it at all.

We ordered this to use with the Yamaha MO8. The pianist needed one for our outside wedding. Shipping was speedy and the product worked great.

  I love my Casio Keyboard
This little keyboard is great, it's compact so I can take it anywhere I want. The sound (to me anyway) is good, very responsive when each key is press. Their are many features as well such as 10 Song Bank,50 Patterns,100 tones, tempo, and great volume control. It even has a small LCD so you can see the notes your hitting. The keyboard does not come with batteries or a AC Adapter,(I brought this in my JR Music store in NY and they told me next month or maybe in the distant future you will be able to purchase one for it. It takes 6 batteries I don't care for an adapter because I use rechargeable batteries and don't want to be stuck in one place when playing. I'm new to pianos and this will be a very good beginner one for me or even kids might love it as well, but an adult can use it if they don't want to carry a big heavy one with them everywhere they go, The back of the keyboard is orange and the front is black so I really like the colors on it and the design. If your new to pianos (like myself) this is a great purchase for you or a child, its been three days and already I'm playing some of my favorite songs,so get it and play away.

  Good Buy
My last keyboard had 61 keys with many more features. But it also cost 10 times as much as this one. We had to downsize our motor home and I needed to get something smaller. This one is perfect! One feature that I like is that you can play 8 notes at one time, and they all sound. I use it primarily to play as a piano and 44 keys makes a nice range. There is one complaint....I have not been able to buy the adaptor for it. It uses 6 AA batteries, but I want an adaptor. Casio does not have one available at this time, but I've been in contact with them and hope to get an answer. Otherwise...I give this 5 stars because of the good price and the way it plays. Really like it!

Excellent Quality Keyboard for it's Size!!
This Casio SA-76 Rocks!! This is an EXCELLENT Quality keyboard for the $$$$ and the Size!! I was presently surprised by how good this little keyboard sounds and the variety of Tones, Rhythms, and functions it has!

I opened this up and put on some Pink Floyd and I was amazed how many of the 100 tones sound VERY MUCH like what Pink Floyd uses in their songs! The tuning sounds Spot on perfect and it's very easy to play. This little keyboard is not Gig quality but it's darn close and beyond your typical TOY keyboards. This is a real musical instrument.

You can play up to 8 keys at one time, this is a big deal for a keyboard this size. You can write music with this and the preloaded rhythms and melodies are EXCELLENT!!

If you know a budding musician this keyboard is the perfect tool to work out new arrangements and create hit songs on! You have everything you need to write the next hit single with this little wonder of a keyboard!!

I'm VERY pleased and highly recommend this one!!!

  Fun way to learn keyboard
I got this keyboard for my 7 year old to learn piano. It is a nice keyboard with a lot of instrument sounds, built-in drums and songs. It also comes with a great software program to use with the computer.

She really has latched onto the program and we have worked on it a little every night since we got it. There are some cute elements to it like a talking piano. However, the lessons are serious and have videos of the teacher showing piano skills. We hook it up to our Mac with a cable it comes with. When you play along with the songs, the program points out where you mis-played. It then shows you on the keyboard the mistake and what you should have played.

The keyboard itself seems well made. It has smaller keys than on my piano but that works well for a 7 year old. Their are plenty of instrument sounds for kids to play around with and the drum are fun to play oven. The songs that are built into the keyboard are not as good as the songs that are on the software program, so we have not done too much with that feature. You can see the songs played on the LCD screen on the keyboard but it is so much easier to learn from the software program that shows the music notation on a big screen with a animated piano that plays along with you.

This is great to either a self motivated kid who wants to learn to play or if you you to do it together.

  a decent digital piano
I was lingering between Casio 420 and this model when I planned to buy a digital piano, then I bought this one because yamaha is a better brand.

I got this digital piano from Kraft music. I was really excited as I received it and put it up all together. The piano is very nicely crafted and everything is very sturdy when I put it together with my friend's help. However, when I turned on the power and started to play with it, it is not very impressive as I wished it to be, maybe I shouldn't have expected that much from a $1000 worth digital piano. I played real piano before, which is what I wished the digital piano to at least sound like. I guess it default piano voice is not very good, and when I played the upper half of the keyboard, it sounds like it is from the speaker. The problem is quite obvious. Then I tried the second piano voice, it is not bad. It does not easily make you feel it is from the speaker.

The hammer action, I would say, is still different from the real piano, even though there is some hammer action effect. There is a key (the 5th C) makes a little weird sound when I played it. It is pretty obvious when I listen to it in the headphone, it is not that obvious when I play out loud with speaker. I guess maybe I am just very sensitive to sound.

Overall, this is a playable and piano-like digital piano. I would say this is for a entry level piano learner rather than a medium to higher level player.

I definitely will buy a real piano in the future when I have my own house.

Bought this version for my wife, who thought she'd prefer an actual piano. Well, she loved it from the moment she started playing it, saves space and has fantastic grand sound..... completely happy with it.

  My granddaughters love it!
I purchased this for my 6 year old granddaughter for Xmas who was frustrated trying to play 'music' with the kazoo-like thing she was given to use at school. My son was doubtful she would like it due to her bad experience to date with music. Within a few minutes after setting it up, she was playing Silent Night and other songs in the book that came with the piano. The key chart system provided allowed almost instant reward for her efforts to play recognizable tunes. My 8 year old granddaughter also enjoys playing it when she can get the little one away from it. This system is a great introduction into playing the piano, and, because key spacing is regular size, what it learned with it can be carried over to a keyboard or regular piano. I couldn't be happier, and my granddaughter is enjoying making music.

  My Grandson loves it!
My one year-old grandson just LOVES this piano. He plays it tirelessly and "sings" along with it. The piano is very nice looking, and, while the keys are not perfect in sound, it is an excellent overall product that I would recommend highly.

Looks really and fun for a first time piano!
This is really great for a first time piano learner who is young. The piano is does NOT sound like a real piano. But you can make out the tune being played. My son love baby grands and really enjoys that he has one himself. Its a perfect height and gift!
